Hydroflux understands that the characteristics of wastewater differ considerably, so ensuring that a DAF system is designed to suit your application is essential. Hydroflux takes many factors into account in the design including the presence of settleable solids, solids and grease concentrations and flow and uses an in-house engineering design tool to ensure optimum DAF design in each case.
For applications where the amount of settable solids is minimal, or when it is used for treatment of trade waste with a robust chemical program, the conventional HyDAF HD series is ideal. This unit is available in capacities up to 500 kL/hr as a standalone unit and is fabricated with a series of hoppers on the base to ease cleaning.
In applications where grit and other heavy solids are not removed upstream of the dissolved air flotation process then the HyDAF HDV version may be more suitable. This system is designed with steep sloping sides and an integrated auger to enable removal of settled solids whilst the plant is operating.
