9.8M BioCap® Digester Cover Awarded to Hydroflux Epco

SA Water’s Pt Lincoln WWTP is currently being upgraded by Guidera O’Connor to include a new sludge management and processing facility.

A new mesophilic anaerobic digester will be included as part of the upgrade to reduce environmental impacts at the site to improve the quality of biosolids.

Hydroflux were awarded the design, fabrication and installation of the 9.8M BioCap® floating gas digester cover which sits on top of the concrete digester tank.

BioCap® allows capture and storage of the biogas generated during anaerobic digestion process. Being a floating cover, it self levels based on the load fed to the digester. Sealing is achieved via a water seal around the vertical wall of the cover.
